"Soon after moving from NYC to Seattle, JT learned motorcycle and lived on the Pacific Coast, Vancouver > Tijuana for almost a year. When he got back, Hooker built an audio/ visual mobile station and started 12hr notice events- outdoor guerrilla-style street parties. ~12 hours of notice was given on where gatherings would occur. Combining a generator, misc dj gear, loudspeaker, subwoofer, + other stuff, JT supported a wide variety of events in Seattle parks, streets, and abandoned properties. Over the last few years, more respectful groups such as Seattle's Three Dollar Bill Gay & Lesbian Outdoor Cinema and the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce have engaged 12hr notice for planned outdoor events.

In March '10 at the now-defunct Hole, Hooker helped throw some amazing underground (literally + figuratively!) parties and curated the Open Wide film/ installation/ photography event.

With various years under his belt exploring diverse arts, JT currently focuses on
- DJ'ing eclectic tunes,
- building custom visual installations/ projections for unique DJs, bands, bars, clubs and special events,
- running refined + dirty effects/ productions over other DJs/ musicians' original work,
- producing and collaborating on a wide range of events, especially free community events
- co-founder, resident DJ, PR, A+R at Subtonic Sounds, a new Seattle-based record label

//hooker//'s talent and drive has made him one of the most sought after names in Seattle. JT's performed at the best institutions including a number of shows at Re-bar, Chop Suey //(2), ETG, FRED Wildlife Refuge, Neumos, Triple Door, The Comet, The Morgue, The Can Can, various private event spaces, Gay Pride Mainstage, EMP Sky Church/ Bumbershoot, The Church of Bass, Capitol Hill's Hollow Earth Radio Station, various events on the empty lot of 500 Pine with The People's Parking Lot /R|I|P\, many other great places, as well as residencies at The Eagle and Pony.

JT has DJ'd alongside Mux Mool (Ghostly International), Victoria Wilson James (Soul II Soul // The Shamen), JD Samson (Men, Le Tigre), DJ Spinderella (Salt-N-Pepa), just to name a few. He's also collaboratively VJ'd in conjunction with the esteemed talent of Alice Bag of 1970's LA Chicana punk legend The Bags, DJ Vadim (Russia/ London), Jimpster (UK- Freerange Records), Max Cooper, J.
